The Winery
The Barnadown Run Winery was established in 1994.
Barnadown Run has a small annual production and our premium wines have won a number of awards. Increasingly more and more people are becoming aware of Barnadown Run.
Traditional wine making techniques are used and we produce ten varieties of wine, both red and white, still and sparkling.
All fruit is hand picked in small parcels. Some of our fruit is bunch picked and each of our vintages are made up of many ferments at different ripeness levels to gain addition complexity. Ferments are plunged by hand every four hours and the skins are maturated for up to 3 to 4 weeks. All wine is basket pressed and stored in mostly French Oak for up to 18 months.
Varieties planted: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Viognier.
